As your Perry GA deck builder Archadeck rose to the occasion by designing and handcrafting one of the most spacious and vast backyard decks we have ever had the pleasure of building.
Fortunately for the folks who live in Flat Creek Preserve in Perry, Georgia, the homes there have huge lots. With such depth and width, it gave our team the benefit of designing outdoor living spaces that meet every need and expectation of our clients who live there.
Adding A Deck Adjacent To A Screened Porch For A Larger Outdoor Living Space
The family’s existing screened porch went down to a very tiny landing via 6 brick stairs, yielding a ground-level platform that was wide enough to hold an all-weather door mat and not much else. They yearned for more space to expand their outdoor living and entertaining options.
When designing the deck for their approval, the family requested that we include two sets of stairs for more convenient access, the first to their existing patio and the second serving as access to the garage.
Two Deck Bays Do The Trick For Gaining More Living Space In This Perry, GA, Backyard
With the new generous deck foundation, we created several outdoor living areas for the family to enjoy. Now, there is ample room for conversation areas, outdoor grilling, and an alfresco outdoor dining table.
As for the material selections for this backyard screened porch, patio, and deck combination space, we used low-maintenance TimberTech decking in the color Coconut Husk. This lightest colored synthetic of the TimberTech Prime+ Collection beautifully brings color-blended decking to this outdoor living space with moderately varied hues of browns and thin striations of soft gray. Featuring a subtle, straight grain pattern, the long-lasting, scalloped decking in this collection creates an authentic wood visual that is sure to impress for years to come.
The protective railing is wood with black metal powder coated iron. The drink rail cap was also done in TimberTech Coconut Husk, as well, for aesthetic continuity.
A Completely New Deck Brings Outdoor Living To A New Level Of Spaciousness, Glamour, And Storage Convenience
With a backyard this large, there is usually a need for additional outdoor furnishings for larger gatherings, especially on the weekends. To accommodate crowd flow – and to spread the conversation and visitation throughout the yard – we also built a large storage area below the deck to house lawn and lounge chairs, as well as tables, shade items, and toys for the kids.
